FREYJA is a fully matt, highly elegant paint for interior walls. It results in a velvety surface with low glossy appearance in raking light. It is a unique high quality product, which can be used as primer as well as topcoat, is high-coverage and ensures a smooth result without brush marks. HOW TO USE

Pre-painting

Always start by reading the instructions on the label. It is important to be thorough from the beginning. The use of correct tools and a carefully performed base is the foundation for a successful result. Stir the paint properly from the bottom before starting painting. The air and surface temperature is also important for the end result. Do not paint if it is below +5°C. Protect floor and furniture properly before starting to paint. Make sure that the foundation is clean, dry and free from dust before painting. Wash earlier painted surfaces with façade cleaner and rinse with water. Glossy surfaces – previous painted with acrylic paint – must be sanded matt before painting.

Painting

Paint 1–2 times with roller, brush or – after dilution – by spraying for an even finish with full cover. Since this paint has a fine structure in order to provide a smooth and forgiving surface, smooth the newly painted and still wet surface by pulling the roller in the same direction and with the same pressure and speed. The structure of the paint will then take the same direction, which will give a matte and soft surface without reflections. This will prevent that the light shines different on the surface and gives a mottled appearance. Disturbing discrepancies in nuance will be avoided if you paint the coherent surfaces with paint from the same tin. This concerns especially tinted paint. When this is not possible, then use tins with same batch number, which can be read on the label.

Post-painting

Wipe o ffthe tools thoroughly before cleaning in water and a mild cleaning liquid. Seal the tin carefully after use and keep out of reach for children. Liquid residues may not be poured down the drain, but be submitted to the local collection point. 

Maintenance

Be careful when cleaning surfaces with acrylic paint with lower gloss, since the paint has a more sensitive finish. Use a damp rag and possibly some mild cleaning liquid to clean the surface. Never use spirits when cleaning painted or lacquered surfaces.

If repainting is required for surfaces with very bright or very dark colors and a contrasting color tone, it is advisable to start by priming the entire surface with lightly tinted PROJEKT Primer. For painting bright colors such as yellows, reds, and other vivid shades, it's recommended to prime the whole surface with PROJEKT Primer tinted in a shade similar to the intended color.

During painting air temperature cannot be lower than +5°C and air humidity cannot exceed 80%.
